What are your plans for your 60s, 70s and 80s..?

How do you see your life 10 years from now? How about 20 or 30 years from now? Do you love tennis or golf? Want to travel more and spend time with your kids and grandkids? There is one inescapable fact if you want to enjoy your life now and in your later years; you need a healthy body to have a really happy life.

After 25 years caring for people as a chiropractor I have observed one major factor that plays out for people who have true peace in their body. Really free to enjoy sports, family and fun. They have invested in their wellness throughout their life. They have been practicing yoga or going to the gym since their 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s.

If they arrived in my office with significant stress and interference in their spine they addressed it fully. They followed through with recommendations. Maybe it took them 3 or 4 months to get things straightened out. They did it. Then the showed up for wellness and did not let their their body return to the previous debilitated state.

True health is not an expense, it is an investment. Like your 401K, regular exercise and keeping your spine healthy will pay major dividends later on if you make small regular installments as you age.

According to the CDC; "The three most common causes of disability continued to be arthritis or rheumatism (affecting an estimated 8.6 million persons), back or spine problems (7.6 million), and heart trouble (3.0 million)." Most of these are issues are avoidable if we are proactive.

While are happy to have helped thousands of people avoid these problems, there is much work to be done.

Too many people wait for pain before they think about their body and then often just suppress the pain with medications. This will not heal the body and only set them up for serious problems moving forward.

There is a great future awaiting you if you are willing to take some small, consistent steps today.
